The Sauvignon "Winkl" by Cantina Terlano is a cru selected of Sauvignon blanc coming from the oldest vines of Terlano, where there is certainty that the vine was cultivated since the time of the Romans. The "Winkl" by Terlano is an example of Sauvignon delicately fruity and very tasty. The area of "Winkl" extends from the Cantina Terlano to Rio St. Peter and spread over the bottom of sandy-stony, on plants of 8-12 years, at an altitude of 250-470 meters above sea level, on vineyards oriented South/South-West and with a gradient between 5 and 40%. The "Winkl" comes from careful harvesting and manual selection of the best grapes; fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature, while the aging lasts 5-7 months and is carried out on the lees in stainless. The "Winkl" has the classic bright straw yellow color with a greenish reflection. The southern exposure, the altitude of the vineyard and the range temperature to enhance the concentration of aromas, typical of apricot and tangerine, well accompanied by notes of elderflower, nettle and finish with a minty. A Sauvignon blanc really convincing for flavorings are able to offer, for the structure that accompanies it and the strong minerality.
