The Pigato "U Baccan" by Bruna is a white wine from Liguria with a great personality and a great character that we love to suggest all those who are looking to experience in the world of wine. The name Pigato derives from the dialect "Pigau", and stands for "pighe", small amber spots that are present on the grape once it reaches its full maturity. Founded in 1970 thanks to the intuition and passion of Riccardo, the cellar Bruna immediately started to stand out for the care and attention of the practices in the vineyard and the constant desire and commitment to create wines that fully respected the personality and uniqueness of the area. An area, the hinterland of Albenga in Ponente Ligure, rich of history and charm; holiday away from the crowds of the Riviera. The Valle d’Arroscia is crossed by an ancient salt road, a road that combines the charm of the sea, by the grace of the mountains, which leads from Liguria to Piedmont. Here we find a Liguria different, more calm, more curious, more silent, made of small countries and of different microclimates, with nature to dominate the life. The Pigato "U Baccan" by Bruna was born right in the Valle Arroscia from selected plants that have over 50 years of age, in the vineyard "Le Russeghine", on a rich red clay and with a significant presence of iron ore. The cellar Bruna followed by a maceration on the skins for 36 hours with frequent pumping over, before leaving his Pigato "U Baccan" rest for ten months in steel tanks with frequent lees stirring of the lees. From the beautiful and strong minerality, Pigato "U Baccan" by Bruna offers bright gold reflections in the glass, before unleashing his complex but always elegant scents: aromatic herbs, sage and thyme in the first place which then give way to the yellow fruit, peach and mango, citrus and honey lime.
