The Passito "L’Autentica" by Cantine del Notaio is a wine with intense scents and with an excellent balance of tastes. The company Cantine del Notaio has its roots in the tradition of winemaking, but it was only in 1998 that led to this reality of Basilicata: Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti, degree in Agricultural Sciences, gathers together the wives Marcella, the challenge of enhancing the Aglianico del Vulture grown in their own vineyards, trying to combine tradition and innovation, history and culture of the area. Today, its vineyards are located in popular areas of the Vulture, which Barile, Rionero, Broom, and Ripacandida Maschito, and are at an altitude of 500 meters, on volcanic soil and subsoil of tufa, a very important source of water supply. A curiosity: this wine, as well as all the labels of wine, has a name related to the profession of notary of Giuratrabocchetti Consalvo, father of Gerardo.
