Moscato di Trani Passito Dolce Naturale 'Kaloro' Tormaresca Antinori 2015

Moscato di Trani “Kaloro” by Tormaresca has a mouthful of soft, sweet but not cloying, that gives the wine an unparalleled elegance and drinkability. Produced by winery Tormaresca, born from the will of Marchesi Antinori, this wine combines all the flavors that the territory of Puglia is able to give its wine: balance and power, combined with remarkable elegance. The grapes that give life to this wonderful Moscato "Kaloro" grow and mature in Tenuta Bocca di Lupo, situated in Castel del Monte DOC. The scenario that can be seen from the Estate, a splendid example of an old farmhouse rebuilt from scratch, is a vineyard of 130 hectares of land tufa, which hosts international and local grape varieties conducted under organic method . The proximity of these Estate with the ancient volcano Vulture, the climate, characterized by a remarkable temperature between day and night, and the composition of soils, have considerable importance for the perfect ripening of the grapes that give life to Moscato "Kaloro". Once the grapes were harvested at the right stage of ripeness were left to dry on special trays for 15 days. It’s just that drying that causes the increase of sugar content and the appearance of flavors such as jam and honey, which give to this wine a unique complexity.
