The cellar of Damiano Ciolli, heir to a family of winemakers, can convey the full joy of their own choice of life in the vineyard, producing only two labels that symbolize the hard work and willingness to work that since 2001 Damiano is doing with Cesanese di Olevano. The Cesanese "Silene" represents a face of his relentless desire to show to all Italy peculiarities and the incredible pleasure of this wine, which proves clean and exemplary balance and depth. The vine that gives life to this Cesanese "Silene" is a little gem: originally planted in the traditional "conocchia", was then carried out in a row on the wall to improve its management. The vineyards are exposed to the south, are situated at an altitude of 450 meters and placed on a red volcanic soil. Damian's idea to focus only on the production of pure Cesanese has repaid all the sacrifices made: this wine, in fact, has been shown to be a great character and great freshness, the nose showing notes of red fruits and an unmistakable mineral notes. Thanks to his work Damiano Ciolli has taken a leading role in that small and courageous group of producers who continue to renew the stylistic model of Cesanese di Olevano, taking it from year to year to incredible success.
